Frequently Asked Questions

What does TGR Management Consulting do?

We provide strategic planning for technology portfolios and project management consulting for the implementation of business-critical systems. This includes technology consulting for CRM implementation, ERP implementation, and comprehensive, cutting-edge technology roadmap planning.

What industries do you specialize in?

We’ve produced impressive results for clients in a wide range of industries, including enterprise software, healthcare, pharma, energy, financial, non-profit, contract manufacturing, and more. However, the value we bring is not industry-specific but rather an accumulation of all of our professional expertise in operational efficiency and organizational strategy.

Why should we hire a consultant to plan our technology strategy rather than do it ourselves?

The reality is that a technology strategy developed in-house requires hours of planning, which, truth be told, is time better spent managing your teams and running your business. A lean organization needs to prioritize and delegate--that means getting independent, 3rd-party insights into how to improve your operational efficiency. We can investigate, outline, and summarize options that you don’t have time to consider.

How do you price your services?

Pricing will depend on the specific structure of your organization and your change management needs, but we typically offer 3 models of service:

  • Retainer - typical for advisory & ongoing program management consulting work
  • Project - typical for well-defined work that i broken down into discrete projects
  • Time & Materials - typical for phased work that requires additional scoping.
What are your qualifications?

TGR Management Consulting is certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). In addition to experience, our team members have also achieved certifications as Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), and Six Sigma. We’ve served clients in a wide variety of industries and have produced consistently exemplary results, including increased profit margins, streamlined technology integration (including software implementation), new hire training and onboarding, redesigned business processes/resource allocation, and project management and methodology.

Do you have references?

Certainly. We would be happy to introduce you to some of our clients but will save that as the final step before signing an engagement.

Will you agree with everything we have to say?

Our job is to help you avoid mistakes and guide you toward making the best possible decisions for your organization. Sometimes that means we’ll disagree with a certain approach or idea. Integrity is important and it’s our responsibility to share feedback honestly, even if it’s hard to say/hear.

Where are you located and how do you work with clients outside your area?

Our main office is based in sunny San Diego, California but our team is enabled to work remotely. We rely heavily on phone, email, and online tools to keep our strategists nimble and our productivity maximized. If needed, we can visit your office for a day or two at a time for on-site consulting and/or assessments.

How large is TGR Management Consulting?

We are a small but highly experienced team with wide-ranging expertise in project management consulting that allows us to scale based on our client’s needs. We’re used to wearing many hats that require us to balance multiple clients and engagements simultaneously.
